Healing The Past

How do you actually feel about Aging? Have you thought about how you see yourself finding fulfillment in your later years? What if anything are you doing now in this regard? Life expectancy is increasing dramatically and we all have heard the phrase 50 is the new 30. Or is it 40 is the new 20? Maybe a bit of an exaggeration but you get the picture? As we are aging most of us focus in on physical changes in strength, mobility and beauty. What about our inner landscape? This is a time of great wisdom, understanding and a deeper appreciation of life. The question is how do we move forward embracing these higher perspectives as we are dealing with change and loss? As we move forward I think it’s important to reflect on ways to harness our life experience so that we can free up our energy to focus on what will be supportive of what is next for us in our life. This involves coming to peace with some of the decisions we have made along our life path that we may be regretting or worse feeling guilty about. This creates a victim mindset and may hold us back from taking on new challenges, paths and steps towards what is calling us at this time. What do you need to reflect on from your life that may be keeping you from what you are yearning for at this time in your life? Healing the past and finding meaning from your previous life experience and then integrating that into your life as you go forward will help release your emotional blocks and self limiting beliefs. What do you need to bring closure to? I invite you to take some time to reflect on these questions.
