Becoming Your Own Superhero

Dear Friends, Many experts say there is a Digital Technology threshold and over that line kids and teens can experience Digital Overload. This varies from child to child and here are some signs to look for:

  • Lethargy/Lack of Energy

  • Forgetfulness

  • Emotional sensitivity

  • Impatience

  • Inability to focus

  • Obsession with Technology

  • Feelings of disconnection to important people

Limiting time from 30 minutes – 2 hours a day on digital technology such as phones, computers and IPads will certainly help. But don’t we need to go further in educating our children and providing support for chronic stress, anxiety and worry? Technology is here to stay and has made many important contributions in education and communication. However it’s important for kids and teens to integrate skills that will help develop emotional intelligence, foster intuition, explore feelings and foster resiliency. Feelings like fitting in, bullying, toxic worry and growing out of their comfort zone. Stress and anxiety is at an all-time high among children and teens: I would like to share with you a unique free workshop for 9-11 year olds that I am facilitating on April 11th. It is based on The Stanford University program Creativity in Business. This workshop is created for kids so they are able to be introduced to valuable tools and self- empowerment techniques that prepares them for success at school and in life. Workshop: Becoming Your Own Superhero Place: Warwick Center for the Performing Arts / 63 Wheeler Ave Warwick, NY Date: Thursday April 11, 2019 Time: 5-630pm Parents please come at 615p to learn all about our Creativity Empowerment Summer Program Required Registration: 845-986-2466 or www.warwickperformingarts.com I would be happy to answer any questions: With Love, Fran
